Graduation Weekend

The bad news is, *Still experiencing laptop issues!* The good news is, my laptop crashed after my 1st year of college was completed. Also, recovery is in the near future! YAY :) Until then the public library will have to do the trick.. I miss my blog. Last weekend my little sister graduated high school so I got to travel back home to be there to support her. It was an amazing weekend, filled with family and friends. (My family also got to meet my boyfriend for the first time!) Here is a picture of me and my beautiful little sister:

my laptop has died again. so much for the 'miraculous recovery'. sad face.

Technical Difficulties

as of a few days after Easter weekend my laptop had died! It wouldn't start up, and instead would go to a loading page where it would "try to fix an internal error" and then would fail and shut down. So today, in hopes that it would magically restart, I started it up and to my complete surprise  IT STARTED!! I have no idea.. lol

Today I finished my last exam of year 1 of college! It's such a good feeling knowing that I don't have to return to school until the end of September.. I'm really not a fan of school. I do well and everything, just lately the motivation factor has sort of been dwindling.. but I'm done now so it doesn't matter :)

To those of you that are brave enough, I would like to suggest one of my favorite sandwiches for you to try, it is super simple to make and is absolutely delicious! I'm not going to lie though, few people are brave enough to try it. (kudo's to my boyfriend last night for taking a bite and... liking it!)

The Peanut Butter and Pickle Sandwich

1st step: take 2 pieces of bread and put peanut butter on each slice. (or if you prefer, but butter first, or only pb one slice.. its completely your preference.)

2nd step: slice 3 pickles into semi thin/thick slices, or enough to cover an entire piece of bread.

3rd step: slap the 2 pieces of bread together

4th step: Eat up!

Those of you who tried this strange combo let me know what you think! haha

Easter!

I love my Island home :) So far Easter weekend has been very relaxing and enjoyable. I slept inn till 10am today!! (oh my goddd!!) It was fantastic lol, followed by some breakfast and hanging out with Christie, (Family friend, she's the greatest ever). We made fresh buns, well Christie did and I just took them out of the oven when the timer went off.. nonetheless they were delicious! I ate two :)

This afternoon we went beach-combing at Stories Beach. We found SO MUCH beach glass! as well as a dark blue glass bead and a couple pieces of pottery, it was alot of fun. We took some beach pictures as it was a beautiful day out, despite a few large clouds that kept hiding Mr. Sun.. But it was all good. I even rolled up my pants and walked a few feet into the ocean! BRRR!  Oh my goodness was it cold! 

Tonight I'm going to go visit my family, yaaaay! I can't wait to see everyone! I'll spend a few hours there, then come back to Christie's house (where I'm staying for the weekend), maybe bake some cookies and probably end the day with a good movie, or possibly attempt at making a dent in the new book I bought.

Easter Weekend is Coming!

hello bloggers! I just wanted to say a huuuuge thank you to everyone and anyone who has visited my blog, read my posts and/or commented! Everytime I get a new notification for a new comment I get so excited! I'm pretty sure my boyfriend thinks I'm either crazy or going crazy..
I really enjoy blogging and could spend endless hours jumping from blog to blog exploring :) so thank you for the encouragement!!

This weekend is Easter Weekend.. Hooray!! My college is closed tomorrow (Friday) as well as Monday, sooo for the first time since November I'm going home! I can't wait to go to Stories Beach every day, go for hikes **fingers crossed the weather is good** see my family and friends, especially my baby siblings!

The bus I'm catching is going to take 3hours to get to my hometown, It'll be a long trip but to make the travelling easier I downloaded a wordsearch app onto my phone and bought a book that has been recommended to me twice (once by my eye doctor and also by a woman working at a book store). it's called Divergent by Veronica Roth. I read a few chapters last night and I'm really enjoying it. It seems similar to Hunger Games but apparently it's more intense.. Yay! As soon as I get home I'm going to the beach.. I miss my beach. I love my Island lol

Anyway, I hope everyone has a good Easter Weekend!

Spring Cleaning

Spring is in the air.. and along with that comes the highly anticipated spring cleaning!

Remember the old Mr. Clean commercials, that after you use the product, the house literally sparkles! False advertizing, although.. the scent left over from using these products is so fresh and great, so I guess that makes up for the "glimmering" counters, floors, walls...

But really, there is nothing like having a freshly cleaned house. There is something so rejuvinating and uplifting about it..

Also, the combination of loud music, singing at the top of your lungs and newly created dance moves has a way of putting me in a fantastic mood!

I don't know about you but when I clean, I feel extreme urges to redecorate as well.. it doubles -if not triples- the ammount of time it takes me to normally clean, buuuuut its sooooo refreshing...

I hope you aren't finding my little rant on house cleaning too annoying..

A Blustery Day

Do you ever feel like there just isn't enough time?

My boyfriend and I live together, yet between us both being enrolled in college full time (in different towns) and working on different schedules, it seems like the only time we ever see each other is when we wake up in the morning.

Luckily this week we had a few days off together! It was great to have some much needed quality time. One afternoon, although rainy outside and terribly windy, we decided to explore our town... Here are a few pictures!
